As of February 19, 2024 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award was not yet been established. The project scope of work generally consists of the construction of (1) new radio communication tower site for Door County, Wisconsin. Work generally includes procurement and installation of the 180' tall self-supported tower, antennas, coax, waveguides, prefabricated precast equipment shelter, LP-fueled backup generator system, ice bridge, chain link fenced compound, site grounding system, fiber optic cabling and routing, and other general site improvements. See Summary Section 01 10 00 for a more detailed description of the scope of work. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate bid bond envelope containing a Bid Bond in a sum equal to five (5%) percent of the full amount of the bid, including all Base Bids (Alternate Bids need not be included in the Bid Bond amount). The Bid Bond shall be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid be accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of award, will execute a contract in accordance with the term of the bid including furnishing all bonds and insurance certificates as required by the contract documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bids received and to accept any bid deemed to be most favorable to the interest of Door County. The work, if awarded, shall be completed in accordance with the timeline outlined in the Bid Form.
