Pre-Demolition Asbestos Abatement Projects at the old St. Joe's High School (1840 Mayfair Street) and associated Brother's House (1840 Mayfair Street) in Westchester Illinois A Bid Security of 10% of the Bid is required with the proposal. The Contractor must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates for all work per Illinois Law. SIGNIF- ICANTLY DAMAGED ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIALS AND SIGNIFICANT MOLD ARE PRESENT THROUGHOUT BOTH BUILD- INGS. A HALF-FACE RESPIRA- TOR IS RECOMMENDED. THESE BUILDINGS ARE NOT HEATED AND HAVE NO ELECTRICITY. Contractor shall demonstrate experience of at least five pre-demolition asbestos abatement projects in projects with a contract value of $100,000 or greater within the last 5 year's. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bidding procedure, or accept the Bid that, in its opinion, will serve the best interest of West 40 ISC #2. Any such decision shall be considered final. The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from a Contractor who, in the Owner's opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project.
