Remodeling of an educational facility in Calumet Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.
The work in general includes, but is not limited to, remodeling of existing classroom spaces including replacement of flooring, casework, painting, the addition of sinks and power and all associated MEPFP work. Work is to be awarded as a single contract. A Bid Security of 10% of the Bid is required with the proposal. The Contractor must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates for all work per Illinois Law. Participation by minority and women-owned businesses as first level subcontractors or suppliers is required for a minimum 5% of the contract amount in accordance with the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females and Persons with Disabilities Act. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bidding procedure, or accept Bid(s) that, in its opinion, will serve the best interest of the District. Any such decision shall be considered final. The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from a Contractor who, in the Owner's opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project. The bidder shall have a written sexual harassment policy in place in full compliance with Section 2-105 of the Illinois Human Rights Act.
