Scope of Work: The scope of work includes the removal of twenty-three (23) designated street trees, including but not limited to complete stump grind and root removal, and fill and compaction of the voids left from the tree removals. Bidder shall furnish a Bid Guaranty Bond in the form of a money order or a cashier's certified check, payable to the order of the City, amounting to 10% of the bid, or by a bond in said amount and payable to said City, signed by the bidder and a corporate surety, who is authorized to issue bonds in the State of California. In accordance with Civil Code 9550, if the bid exceeds $25,000.00, the Successful Bidder shall furnish within 10 consecutive calendar days after written Notice of Award, a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid as well as a separate Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid total. Bonds must be renewed for any optional contract renewal terms that may be exercised. Contractor must submit to the contracted department within 10 calendar days of an order, AND PRIOR TO START OF WORK, certificates of Insurance naming the City of Santa Barbara as Additional Insured in accordance with the attached Insurance Requirements.
