DBE GOAL 7% Q & A Deadline: 02/01/2024 11:00 AM CST The Undersigned hereby acknowledges the time to complete the Contract and the subsequent damages thereof in accordance with Section l.2, Article l.2.12, l.2.13 and Section 3.2, Article 3.2.04 of these Contract Documents. The Undersigned agrees to substantially complete the work no later than - December 31, 2024. Median and street paving will be substantially complete and ready for use no later than - July 31, 2024. EACH BID PROPOSAL shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty (10% of the Bid Amount). Upon award of the contract, the contractor shall provide a Contract Bond to the City for 100% of the Bid Amount The contractor shall be required to meet DBE goals in accordance with Title 23, USC section 140(C) and 49CFR, part 26. DBE participation goal (subcontracts, materials, supplies) in the amount of 7% has been set on this project. Description of Job: Scope of work to be performed under this improvement shall generally consists of converting over 1,500 feet of narrow concrete median from Center Drive (Kroger Signal) to Courseview Drive to a full-width grass median. The project includes lighting improvements, resurfacing of SR 741 from Center Drive to the I-71 northbound ramps and two traffic signal upgrades at SR 741/Courseview Drive & SR 741/Beach Boulevard. The City of Mason reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City of Mason reserves the right to add to or to subtract from the contract quantities. Funding for this contract is federal grant funds, State of Ohio grant funds, and the City of Mason. Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract
