The Town of Provincetown (Town) is soliciting Bids for the Courtesy Float Replacement project. Questions relating to the Bid documents shall be submitted via email to Beth Schuh, at beth.schuh@foth.com, until FEBRUARY 2, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid security consisting of a BID BOND, CASH, or CERTIFIED CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the Bid price. A Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the total amount of the contract price with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required for the faithful performance of the contract, as well as a labor and materials Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract price. All Bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of MA, including, but not limited to G.L. c.30, 39M. It is anticipated that the procurement period will begin on or after MARCH 5, 2024, and the work will begin on or after APRIL 16, 2024. The project is anticipated to be substantially completed prior to MAY 14, 2024, as set forth in the Contract Documents. Minimum wage rates to be paid are determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of MA General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26-27D inclusive. Selection of the Contractor will be based upon Bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects and Bid price. The contract will be awarded to the Bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the responsible and eligible Bidder submitting the lowest responsive Bid. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all Bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
