The Work under this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to the: Interior reconfiguration to create affordable housing at historic Fire House #2, located at 189 Commercial St. Provincetown, MA 02357. Reconfigure Second Floor to create: (2) bedrooms, (1) bathroom, (1) kitchen/lounge. Reconfigure Third Floor to create: (3) bedrooms, (1) half bath, (1) shower room, and (1) mechanical room. First Floor is to remain as-is. Removal of the existing roof system; Addition of (2) dormers as shown in contract documents; Replacement of roof system. Installation of mini-splits. This bid does not include the construction of an exterior egress stair. Bidders shall certify that they do not, and will not, maintain or provide for their employees any facility that is segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, sex, national origin, or sexual preference. The bidding and award of the Contract shall be in full compliance with Sections 44A to 44J inclusive of Chapter 149 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised. The Owner reserves the right to omit part or whole of any proposed work to be performed, as described in the Contract Documents, as may be required to maintain the total cost of work within available funds. Each Bidder must inform himself fully of the conditions relating to the construction of the project and the employment of labor thereon. Failure to do so will not relieve a successful Bidder of his obligation to furnish all material and labor necessary to carry out the provisions of his contract. In so far as possible the Contractor in carrying out his work must employ such methods or means as will not cause any interruption of or interference with the work of any other Contractor.
