As of February 21, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The project primarily consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following approximate quantities: - 2,100 feet of 8-inch watermain - 4-inch private watermain connection with indoor metering, backflow prevention, and pressure regulating facilities - 1,275 feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer replacement - 1,350 feet of HMA roadway reconstruction Work also includes, but is not limited to, incidental storm sewer removal and replacement, maintenance of traffic, wastewater bypass pumping, well abandonment, and restoration. Contractor shall furnish all material, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the specified work. The last day an addendum will be issued is three (3) business days prior to the bid. The sanitary sewer and associated surface restoration work to be performed under this contract will be paid for with funds obtained from the State of Michigan's Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program. Federal Davis Bacon wage rates apply to this work. The watermain work (excluding work related to residential water services) to be performed under this contract will be paid for with funds obtained from the State of Michigan's Consolidation and Contamination Risk Reduction (C2R2) program. Federal Davis Bacon wage rates do not apply to this work The residential water service work to be performed under this contract will be paid for with local funds. Federal Davis Bacon wage rates do not apply to this work. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Benton Charter Township in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of 90 days after the receipt of bids. The contract is anticipated to be tentatively awarded at the March 5, 2024 Township board meeting contingent upon successful financial arrangements with the CWSRF. Construction shall begin no sooner than June 1, 2024. The project shall be substantially complete within 75 days of starting construction, and no later than August 16, 2024. The Work will be substantially complete on or before August 16, 2024, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before August 30, 2024.
