The District of Columbia ("District") Department of General Services (the "Department" or "DGS"), on behalf of District of Columbia Public Schools ("DCPS"), is issuing this Request for Proposals ("RFP") to solicit design-build proposals ("Proposal(s)") from offerors ("Offeror(s)") interested in serving as the design-builder (the "Design-Builder" or the "Contractor") for an addition at Wheatley Education Campus Early Childhood Education Center ("Wheatley EC") located at 1299 Neal Street NE, Washington, DC 20002 (the "Project"). The Department anticipates awarding a design-build contract (the "Agreement", "Contract" or "Design-Build Agreement") to the Offeror whose Proposal is most advantageous to the District pursuant to the evaluation and award criteria in Part 3 of this RFP. The Project includes full design and construction services for an approximately 4,500 square foot addition for Wheatley Education Campus to accommodate a new Early Childhood Education Center. The Project shall be designed in such a way to incorporate, at a minimum, LEED for Schools - Gold principles, although LEED Certification shall not be a requirement of this Project. Due Date for Questions: May 21, 2024, at 2:00 pm SCOPE OF WORK: Includes low voltage construction, installation, maintenance and removal of teledata facilities (voice, data and video) including outside plant, telephone and data inside wire, interconnect, terminal equipment, central offices, PABX, fiber optic cable and equipment, railroad communications, micro waves, VSAT, bypass, CATV, WAN (Wide area networks), LAN (Local area networks) and ISDN (Integrated systems digital network).
