Special Industry Day Announcement: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) invites industry professionals to attend an upcoming Industry Day Event at the Fallon Building in Baltimore, Maryland. The event will begin on July 30, 2025 at 09:00 AM. This in-person event will feature a presentation followed by same-day one-on-one discussions. The event aims to engage industry experts on the upcoming requirement for constructing the North Clearwell at McMillan Water Treatment Plant. USACE seeks industry feedback on design modifications that can optimize value for the Government while fulfilling the Washington Aqueduct's mission requirements. Participants are encouraged to provide suggestions, with discussions focusing on key areas such as: Concrete specification, design, and detailing Admixtures and crack prevention Water tightness Support of excavation To facilitate preparation, draft documents related to this requirement will be posted sam.gov for industry review. Additional information, including how to register for this event, is enclosed in the attachments. SYNOPSISThis is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District presolicitation notice for design-bid-build construction at the Washington Aqueduct (WA) McMillan Water Treatment Plant to replace the entirety of the existing clearwell to provide structurally sound reservoir with improved water quality and reliable operation. The projects anticipated magnitude of construction is between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00 with a construction duration of 27 months from issuance of the Notice to Proceed (around August 2024), and the contract will require a Project Labor Agreement (PLA). This is a synopsis of the requirement ONLY. An official Request for Proposal (RFP) is anticipated to be posted in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE, https://piee.eb.mil) and https://SAM.gov on or around May 31, 2024. This procurement is unrestricted, full and open competition.There will be a site visit at 2500 1st St NW Washington DC 20001 tentatively schedule on 11 June 2024. Additional and final details will be available in the upcoming RFP. This requirement previously had a Sources Sought Notice posted under Notice ID W912DR24X0Z54 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
