Refuse disposal and treatment including hazard waste disposal and non-hazardous waste disposal and refuse treatment, also garbage refuse recycling cans and containers. Granite School District (GSD) is soliciting competitive quotes from qualified vendors to provide hauling services of scrap metal from three high school's metal shops to NuCor Steel and hauling services of new plate iron back to the three schools. Scope of Work: 1. Arrange forklift use from GSD Grounds Department, dump scrap metal hopper bins into large dump truck or trailer with sides at three high schools. 2. Take scrap metal to Nucor who weighs the metal, removes metal from truck/trailer. 3. Nucor loads new flat iron metal onto a 20' flatbed trailer. This metal is typically 1/4 " x 5" x 20' flat iron and is of the same weight as the scrap weight. 4. Traveling 97 miles (each way) from Salt Lake City to Plymouth, UT with the scrap and returning the new product that is properly secured at all times. 5. Delivery ingnce metal has been obtained it will need to be delivered to each of the three high schools, Granger, Kearns and Taylorsville. Frequency: 1 haul per school year. This will occur typically at the beginning of a calendar year and is to be coordinated with the district CTE coordinator. Cougar Lane (4800 W), Kearns, UT 84118 o Taylorsville High School - 5225 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT 84123 o NuCor Steel - 7400 W 21200 N, Plymouth, UT 84330 License and Insurance Requirements: Hauling company must be properly licensed with the state Department of Commerce to business in Utah, properly licensed with UDOT to haul the weight and length of this product, and insured as specified in the attached terms and conditions.
