Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Pearl City, Hawaii. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project shall in general consist of, but is not limited to construction of a raised pedestrian walkway, drainage system improvements, roadway repaving, and slope stabilization. The work includes clearing and grubbing, selective demolition, site preparation, excavation and backfilling, concrete work, sediment and erosion control, topsoil and grass, root barrier, and metal railings, as called for in the Plans and Technical Specifications. bid security in the amount of 5% of the total amount proposed. The Bidder shall use the attached Surety Bid Bond form. If the Bidder elects to use other acceptable forms of security listed in Section 2.8 of the General Provisions, the Bidder shall deposit the bid security with the Facilities Business Office prior to the bid due date If the Contractor fails to complete the work or any portion of the work within the time or times fixed in the contract or any extension thereof, the Contractor shall pay to the University $ 500.00 per each calendar day of delay. The liquidated damages constitute a reasonable estimate of the actual damages to be incurred by the University and are not meant to be a penalty Question Deadline 02/08/2024 at 4:00 PM HT The University reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any defects when in the Director's opinion such rejections or waiver will be for the best interest of the public.
