A timeline for construction has not yet been established. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* The City of Port Angeles (City) is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide engineering design and geotechnical support for the replacement of a 20 Inch Concrete Cylinder (CC) transmission main and three 8-10 Inch transmission main creek crossings. The ideal engineering consultant for this project has experience designing water utility projects, an understanding of the City's water infrastructure, and is knowledgeable with the complexities of horizontal directional drilling design and construction. The primary component of this work is the replacement of 6,000 LF of 20 Inch CC transmission main. Including evaluation of alternative alignments, geotechnical evaluation, creek/ravine crossing evaluation, and development of alternative residential service connections. Methods for the replacement may include but are not limited to trenching, slip lining and horizontal directional drilling. In addition to the 20 Inch main the City has three smaller (8-10 Inch) water main creek/ravine crossings with Capital Facility Plan (CFP) design funding that also require replacement. The consultant will be tasked to perform geotechnical engineering and design for these three creek/ravine crossings. If additional engineering, construction management, analysis, and/or studies arise, the Consultant and the City will negotiate a scope of work, fee, and formalize it in a Consultant Directed Service work order. Proposals shall be submitted by firms that are capable and experienced in the type of work described in this Request for Qualification (RFQ). In addition, all interested firms shall have readily available resources in the form of trained personnel, support services, specialized consultants and financial resources to carry out the work without delay or shortcomings. Interested consulting firms are encouraged to submit concise and clear responses to the Request for Qualifications. Responses of excessive length or complexity are discouraged. Statements of Qualifications shall be limited to ten (10), single sided, 8 1/2 x 11 Inch pages, including cover letter.
