As of February 28, 2024, This project has been awarded to A Plus Contractors, with the awarded amount of $423,007.50. NOTE: Contractor shall be aware that the City of Duluth intends to award a separate but concurrent contract for the construction of Snowmaking and Lighting Facilities for the 0.8 km Loop Ski Trail and portions of the existing cross-country ski trails. The contractor for this project shall be responsible for coordinating project schedules and construction phasing with the contractor of the Lower Spirit Nordic Center Lighting & Snowmaking project to facilitate the most efficient and timely construction of both projects. Grading operations will need to be completed prior to installations of the snowmaking and lighting items. Specifically, all contractors and subcontractors must pay all laborers and mechanics the established prevailing wages for work performed under the contract. Failure to comply with the aforementioned may result in civil or criminal penalties. The City of Duluth reserves the right to reject any or all bids, split the award, to waive informalities, irregularities or minor deviations from the specifications if deemed to be in the best interests of the City.
