Renovation of a medical facility in Coupeville, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Island County Facilities Management (the "County") requests proposals from qualified vendors to establish a contract to install an automatic transfer switch and emergency standby generator system for the Public Works Administration Building located at 80 N Main Street, Coupeville, WA 98239. BACKGROUND INFORMATION The provided generator system will be installed at a newly purchased commercial property residing on North Main Street in Coupeville. The space is 5,722 square feet on a 1.07-acre parcel with 30 parking stalls and an additional gravel parking area in the rear. This building houses Public Works Engineering, Accounting, and Executive Leadership and accommodates 33 people. The proposed generator system is expected to provide electrical power in the event of a power outage to include interior and exterior lighting, HVAC, network capabilities, and all building power systems and subsystems. SCOPE OF SERVICES The work required under the Scope of Services includes providing and installing all components, materials, and labor needed to install an automatic transfer switch and backup emergency generator (provided by the County) to power the entire Public Works Administration Building (and server room) located at 80 N Main Street, Coupeville, WA 98239. This includes all electrical mechanical, civil and permitting work needed to properly install the generator according to state and local codes. The Vendor shall secure all required Town of Coupeville permits and inspections. Companies may submit questions related to this RFP in writing or by e-mail no later than noon on Tuesday March 5th, 2024. All questions shall be sent to Dane Kinney, Project Specialist at D.Kinney@islandcountywa.gv No oral proposals or oral modifications of proposals will be considered. AWARD OF PROPOSAL The information contained in proposals submitted for consideration will be held in confidence until all evaluations are concluded and an award has been made. Unless specified otherwise, all proposals shall be valid for ninety (90) days from the due date of the proposal. Vendor shall not during the contract, assign, transfer or subcontract any part of the agreement to any other contractor without written approval of County. The County may cancel this agreement at any time with five (5) days written notice. Bidders shall submit a bid guarantee in the amount of 5% percent of the total bid price, which shall be in the form of a firm commitment such as a bid bond, postal money order, certified check, cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit. Bid guaranteed other than bid bonds will be returned (a) to unsuccessful bidders as soon as practicable after the opening of bids; and (b) to the successful bidder upon execution of such further contractual documents (i.e., insurance coverage) and bonds as may be required by the bid.
