**As of April 9, 2024, the project was awarded to SAK Construction LLC for $698,244 .** Sealed bids for the Glaize Creek Public Sewer District Sewer Line Rehabilitation Project The Scope of Work for the Project includes lining existing sanitary sewer clay pipe. Approximate quantities are: 14,823 LF of 8" diameter pipe, 3,174 LF of 12" diameter pipe. Lining shall be cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) using a resin-impregnated fiberfelt tube. The work includes 30,092 LF of cleaning and video inspection of the sanitary sewer pipe before lining. Work shall include traffic control, restoration and all other incidental items and work described in the Drawings, Specifications and/or other Contract Documents or reasonably inferable therefrom. The project is funded through the Jefferson County American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 Grant program. The District anticipates issuing a Notice to Proceed by April 1, 2024, with the anticipated start date to be mid to late April 2024, dependent on weather. Any questions regarding this project must be submitted to: cvogt@att.net, by 2:00 pm local time on March 4, 2024. No written questions after this date or any verbal questions will be recognized. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The project is a federally-funded prevailing wage project which triggers Federal Labor Standards Compliance. The wage rates applicable to this project have been predetermined as required by law and are set forth in this specification. When Federal wage rates are applicable and included, its contract is subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, (P.L. 87-581: 76 Stat. 357) and implementing regulations. Effective January 1, 2009 and pursuant to RSMo 285.530 (1), No business entity or employer shall knowingly employ, hire for employment, or continue to employ an unauthorized alien to perform work within the state of Missouri. The successful bidder must submit a sworn affidavit and documentation affirming the business entitys enrollment and participation in the federal work authorization program and that all of its employees working for the contracted services are not illegal immigrants. Upon signing the contract, the successful contractor and any subcontractor performing the work shall provide a ten-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. The Glaize Creek Public Sewer District hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award. THE OWNER INTENDS TO AWARD THE CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST, RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE BIDDER. THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS, AND TO WAIVE ANY IRREGULARITIES IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE OWNER.
