As of January 29th, 2025, this project has been completed. In addition, the proposals must be marked with the bidder's name and address and be accepted by the Purchasing Office by the time and date specified above. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or a cashier's check or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, as guarantee that the BIDDER will not withdraw from the competition after the opening of the bids and, if written notice is given of such award, enter into a written Contract with the City of Dunedin, Florida, in accordance with the written Proposal. Should the successful BIDDER fail to enter into a Contract, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days without the consent of the City. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for a Certificate of Insurance, a Performance and Payment Bond, and meet other requirements, as set forth in the contract. Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. The City of Dunedin is not responsible for the US Mail or private couriers regarding mail being delivered by the specified time so that a bid can be considered. Proposals by telephone, email, text, telegraph, or FAX will not be accepted. One contract shall be awarded for all work outlined above and described in the plans and specifications. The City of Dunedin, Florida reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any irregularities or informalities, to re-advertise and to award the Contract in its best interest. Bids which are incomplete or which are not submitted in accordance with instructions in the INVITATION may be disqualified. This project is located within the City of Dunedins Eagle Scout Park which is located at 1040 Virginia St, Dunedin FL. The work of this Contract consists of furnishing all material, labor, equipment, etc., necessary for the general construction of the following, as shown on the Drawings and as specified herein. Currently there exists three (3) tennis courts within the Eagle Scout Park. The project proposes to create ten (10) Pickleball courts utilizing and expanding the existing concrete surface. Work includes installing a new playing surface, replace lights, fences and add amenities. The Engineers Estimate for the project is $497,520.00 The time allotted for this project is 60 days for substantial completion.
