As of March 12, 2024, the project was awarded to MELE & MELE & SONS, INC, with an awarded amount of $127,187.50. Unless otherwise provided it is the intent of the Contract Documents to prescribe a complete project which the Bidder proposes to construct, by furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, necessary utilities and other facilities, and performing all work necessary or incidental to such construction, in full compliance with the Contract Documents. Work will consist of resurfacing of Stratford Court, Hill Street, and Shrader Hollow Road in New Stanton Borough; Including 2,160 Tons of 1 1/2 9.5mm Wearing Course complete in place. Each proposal shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the order of New Stanton Borough in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid in accordance with provisions of the Contract Documents. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap New Stanton Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the biddings. Bids may be held by New Stanton Borough for a period of forty five (45) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the Contract.
