The City of Riverside seeks the services of a qualified consultant to provide archaeological site monitoring during the renovation of the existing City pool. The consultant must be on the Missouri SHPO Cultural Resource Management Consultants list or meet the professional qualifications outlined in 36CFR61, Appendix A. Site monitoring is required during all ground disturbing activities, including, but not limited to: Repairs / renovations o Removal of the existing 4-6" concrete pool deck. o 4" subgrade excavation to allow installation of gravel base. o Excavation for replacement pipes for the pool. o Removal of the 2 existing shade structures on the west deck of the pool. New Construction o 6-10" soil excavation for the splash play and adjacent seating areas. o 6' minimum excavation for the water holding tank servicing the splash play equipment. o Footing excavations, including splash play equipment and shade structures (approx. 3-4' deep). o Expansion of the pool shallow side (approx. 365 SF) including removal of the pool west wall and the soil 7-10' wide for the full length of the pool with a depth between 2'-4" to 5'-3". The City of Riverside reserves the right to modify deadlines, change the scope of work, amend the Request for Qualifications, reject any or all submissions for any reason without incurring cost or liability, negotiate with any consultant, and select the consultant that best meets the City's needs.
