*Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The City of Hallandale Beach (City) is seeking bids from all interested and qualified Firms ("Bidder") who can provide water main replacement services for use by the City of Hallandale Beach Public Works Department. The intent of these plans is to indicate the replacement of the existing 10" water main with an upgraded 12" PVC water main from NW 14 Avenue to the Golden Isles Drive extension. The new 12" water main, approximately 2,000 +/- LF, will include live taps at each end of the project. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following. Installation of new water service lines replacing those serving the existing tenants of the RK Diplomat Shopping Center. The new water service lines will connect to the existing water meters and will include new valves. All wall penetrations for the existing water service points and fire lines will remain. A water main extension will be required to serve the Duo Condominium. Contractor to exercise caution when installing the new main, services and fire lines due to concentration of utilities within narrow corridors. Contractor to minimize disruption of service to all users during construction. After testing & approvals by FDEP are obtained, the contractor is to cut/cap and abandon the existing service lines and connect to the existing water meters. Upon completion of all new systems the existing 10" water main will be abandoned in place. These funds are not cashed. These funds are retained guaranteeing the firm submitting the proposal will not withdraw the proposal for such period of time as the Commission provides a Resolution for award of contract.
