Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sturgis, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Project generally consists of work necessary to install a new sanitary sewer trunk line along the northern edge of the city of Sturgis along the Bear Butte Creek corridor. The new trunk line is approximately 12,000 LF long, will include multiple service connection replacements and a bore underneath Bear Butte Creek near Avalanche Road. Scope of work also includes installation of approximately 650 LF of water line along Silver Street and reconstruction of roadway, curb & gutter, and sidewalk along 15th St., Silver St., and 14th St. The Work shall be substantially completed by July 25th, 2025, and shall be completed and ready for final payment on or before October 31st, 2025, providing the Sturgis Rally does not substantially impact construction for more than the dates specified in Section. All Bidders shall have a valid South Dakota Contractors license of the appropriate Class for the work, as required by ARSD 20:53:06 or SDCL 36-25. Bidders shall enclose a copy of their license or Certificate of Renewal in the same envelope as the Bidders Bond. Bidder must be licensed for the full amount of the Bid. No Bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to bond and license. Any deficient Bid submitted will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Bids shall be submitted on the Bid Forms provided and in accordance with the Bidding Documents. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed at City Hall, Sturgis, SD. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or a bank draft drawn on a State or National Bank for five percent (5%)of the amount bid payable to City of Sturgis or in lieu thereof a Bidders Bond executed by the Bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota, payable to the City of Sturgis, in a sum equal to ten percent (10%)of the full amount of the Bid. This is to serve as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a Contract within 15 days of Notice of Award in accordance with the terms of the principals Bond and a contractors Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing board for the performances of such Work. The checks of unsuccessful bidders will be returned within thirty (30) days after the bids have been opened. Only Bids that are accompanied by such a Bond will be considered. The requirements for Bidders and Contractors under these orders are explained in the specifications. Bidders are advised that the Workforce Participation Goals are 3.4% for Minority and 6.9% for female participation in each trade. The fair share objective of this project is 1% MBE's and 4% WBE's.
