11 March 2024 - Uploaded revised technical specifications. Please acknowledge all amendments. The USDA Forest Service (FS), East Zone, has a requirement for HVAC replacement on the Green Mountain National Forest located in the state of Vermont. This procurement will be solicited using North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 238220 -- Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with a small business size standard of $19M. All questions are due by March 7, 2024. A. Base Bid: Furnish all labor, supervision, materials, and incidentals required to accomplish the Summary of Work. This work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, removal of existing furnaces and A/C units, installation of new furnaces and heat pump units, new thermostats, and associated HVAC/plumbing/electrical work. Contractor shall be responsible to size all equipment and piping as required by this specification and in accordance with applicable building codes. 1) The existing HVAC ventilation system and ducts are to remain throughout building. Contractor shall connect new HVAC equipment into existing ventilation system and ducts. Any removal, replacement, or modification of the ventilation system to support the replacement of the furnaces shall be considered incidental to all other work. This includes all modifications or changes to the control system. B. Optional Bid Items: Furnish all labor, supervision, materials, and incidentals required to accomplish the Summary of Work. This work includes, but is not limited to, removal of the existing propane hot water heater and four (4) exhaust fans, installation of a new heat pump hot water heater and new exhaust fans, and all associated plumbing/electrical/control work. PROJECT LOCATION 382 Brooklyn Road Mt.Tabor, VT 05739 Period of Performance: 05/01/2024 to 06/28/2024 The magnitude of this construction project is: between $25,000 and $100,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
