Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (BTV) is seeking proposals from contractors to replace the lighting and lighting controls within selected areas of the Terminal Building. The existing terminal lighting and controls are generally original to its 1997 construction and 2004 addition and renovation. The Owner would like to replace luminaires with those with LED light source, along with adding automatic lighting controls to reduce light levels when there is no occupancy or there is adequate daylight. The project will include replacement of all lighting in selected areas as identified in the drawing package, and the replacement of controls in those spaces with automatic controls. General Scope of Services BTV is seeking the following services under this Request for Proposals ("RFP"): The following scope is an outline only and it is expected that the Contractor will provide additional recommendations for the successful completion of the project. It is expected that all entities that respond to this RFP will inspect and review the facility/site prior to providing their bid to ensure it covers all costs of completion. Duties required of the contractor include but are not limited to labor and materials to complete the following work: o Design, permitting and construction of to replace the interior lighting and all associated wiring, add automatic lighting controls in the select areas identified in the drawing set. o Demolition of existing lighting and control to include the proper disposal of waste materials, including recycling of materials as may be required by local ordinances. o Rework and extension of existing circuit wiring as necessary to accommodate the installation of the new luminaires and controls. Match existing wiring methods; individual conductors in electrical metallic tubing (EMT) and multi-conductor metal clad (type MC) cable. o Replace all exit signage in the areas of lighting renovation Questions.
