Allows zero unit prices and labor Yes Allows negative unit prices and labor No The City and Borough of Sitka (CBS) is soliciting proposals from interested General Contractors to serve as the Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR) for the Gary Paxton Industrial Park (GPIP) Vessel Haulout (VHO) Project. The selection process must comply with CBS procurement requirements to ensure open and fair competition. The City and Borough of Sitka (CBS) has retained PND Engineers, Inc (PND) and their consulting team to design vessel haulout improvements to the existing Gary Paxton Industrial Park. The project has been conceptually developed and is ready for the CMAR to be added to the team to partner with CBS and the designers to complete a constructible phased project. The project will be managed by the CBS through the pre-construction and construction phases. The CBS intends to continue seeking additional funding for the project through the pre-construction and construction phases and if successful may expand the construction scope with additional improvements. By adding the CMAR to the project team to provide pre-construction and construction services, the CBS anticipates more accurate project planning, including cost estimating, value engineering, constructability input, construction phasing and scheduling based on available funding for completion of the GPIP VHO Project.
