There are approximately 250 locations along these gravel roads which require an application of a dust abatement product; (calcium chloride has been used in previous years). Most locations will receive 200 lineal meters of product with some locations on busier haul roads receiving 400 lineal meters. Road widths range from 4-10 meters. Applications rates will be approximately 2 liters per m2 in most locations with reduced rates in areas which are already saturated with product from previous years' applications The contractor should be available to start applications commencing the week of May 20, 2024, depending on weather and road conditions. Lac La Biche County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Quotations and to waive irregularities, informalities and non-compliance at its discretion. The County reserves the right to accept a Quotation other than the lowest Tender without stating reasons and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the County may consider any other factor(s) besides price, capability to perform the work and proposed specifications in its sole and unfettered discretion. By submitting its Quotation, the Bidder waives any right to claim in any proceeding or court action for loss of anticipated profit or for any other damages in excess of the reasonable costs incurred by the Bidder in preparing its Quotation.
