Scope: The principal items ofthe project are: oReplace existing water main with approximately 5,300 feet of 8-inch HDPE IPS DR 11 water main piping (methods to include pipebursting and open cut as described on the plans and as necessary) including accessories, tracer wire, fitt ings, and valves oInstall approximately 71 new l-inch HDPE water services, water meter boxes, and accessories oInstall approximately 9,400 feet of temporary bypass main including temporary water services and accessories oRestoration per District standards and King County ROW permit This project includes materials that will be provided by the District for the Contractor to install. The District intends to provide all permanently installed materials except for crushed rock and asphalt. Details are provided within Sections 00200 and 01025 of these specifications. Pipe replacement shall occur primarily via pipebursting with some areas of open cut installation. The locations of methods are shown approximately on the Contract Plans.
