As of July 21, 2025, an engineer and a construction manager has been selected, and this project is in the pre-construction/negotiated phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Town is soliciting proposals regarding the qualifications and experience of interested professional firms licensed to practice engineering in the State of Florida to provide professional engineering services, project and quality management, final design, permitting coordination, environmental compliance, coordination and cooperation with a Town selected Construction Manager at Risk ("CMAR"), and development of construction documents for the subaqueous force main. Questions or requests for clarification regarding this Request for Proposals (RFP) must be submitted via email to Purchasing@longboatkey.org by 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Minority-Owned Business Enterprises and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
