As of July 10, 2025, per owner, American Fork City did the design in-house. A contractor was awarded by the city council. Construction to begin right away with substantial completion by September 15, 2025. American Fork City Public Works Division, "City" is soliciting proposals from qualified firms' "Proposer" to provide engineering and construction management, services for flood damage to Boat Harbor Road and the Fox Hollow Golf Course. In the spring of 2023, our community faced significant flood damage resulting from the rapid thawing of Utah's snowpack, particularly affecting areas alongside the American Fork River, Boat Harbor Road (Task 1), and the Fox Hollow Golf Course (Task 2). This project will not only involve restoring the affected locales to their previous state but also encompass strategic enhancements to fortify them against potential future flooding disasters. In our pursuit of a more resilient future, the City is open to exploring alternative improvement strategies beyond restoration. We welcome creative and innovative proposals that, while equivalent in cost to restoration, offer superior long-term benefits. Selected Proposer may provide recommendations that balance economic feasibility and lasting impact if the Proposer chooses to provide alternative improvement strategies beyond restoration back to pre-flood damage conditions. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) presents an outline for the scope of work to be accomplished by the Proposer or consulting agency contracted. Final scope of work will be determined based upon the submitted proposal. All work must conform with FEMA requirements for reimbursement.
