Value: $ 615,000.00 The City of Janesville, Wisconsin hereby gives notice that it will receive electronic bids for the following listed Public Work: C2024-7 Metropolitan Area Network Phase 7 & 8 - For furnishing the labor, materials, and equipment and doing all the work necessary to extend the City's fiber optic network to connect two municipal facilities. The project consists of the following approximate quantities: 22,150 LF of 2" dia. SDR11 duct installation with fiber, 2,540 LF of fiber in existing duct, 18 Handholes, interior work, and 18 locate stations or posts. The determination of the lowest responsible and best bid will be decided by the City Engineer, subject to review by the City Council. The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. If applicable, Federal Davis Bacon wage rates are included in the Contract Documents, as well as on file in the City Clerk's Office. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the actual date of the bid opening.
