The outside of the envelopes shall plainly identify: (1) Project name (2) Bid Closing time and date (3) Contractor's name (4) Contractor's license number (per ORS 701). The project includes, but is not limited to, all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct approximately 20,150 lineal feet of crack seal, 21,995 square yards of Type II slurry seal, 45 square yards of asphalt repair, and performance of additional and incidental work as called for in the Plans and Specifications. A ten (10) percent Bid Bond, certified check, or cashier's check shall accompany each Bid and shall be forfeited if the Bidder fails to enter into a Contract with the City of Stayton within fifteen (15) days after the dated "Notice of Award". The successful Bidder will be required to furnish evidence of required insurance and shall furnish a faithful Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the Contract. Upon successful completion of the Contract, and prior to City release of the Performance Bond, the Contractor shall furnish a completed Warranty Bond in the amount of thirty percent (30%) of the total amount of the Performance Bond, which shall remain in full force and effect until compliance with and fulfillment of all terms and provisions of the Contract's one (1) year warranty obligations. Prequalification is NOT required. A pre-bid conference will not be held for potential Bidders. The City of Stayton reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any Bid not in compliance with all prescribed bidding procedures and requirements; and may reject any or all Bids upon finding of the Stayton City Council that it is in the bet public interest to do so.
