New Construction of a Restroom at the Brewer Recreation Center- Greenwood County ("Owner Representative") is requesting proposals from qualified general contractors for the construction of a new restroom at the Brewer Recreation Center, 125 N University St., Greenwood, SC 29646 (Parcel ID# 6856-475-111). The building project will include the new construction of a single-story, concrete block building or prefab concrete building containing male/female restrooms and should be ADA compliant . Greenwood County is requesting proposals from qualified general contractors for the construction of a new restroom at the Brewer Recreation Center at 125 N. University St., Greenwood, SC 29646 (Parcel ID# 6856-475-111). Questions concerning the RFP must be submitted in writing and directed to Brad Cuttill, Greenwood County Parks & Recreation Director, at bcuttill@greenwoodsc.gov by 5:00 PM local time, Monday, March 18, 2024 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The new restroom facility at The Brewer Recreation Center will be located next to a Picnic Shelter. The building will consist of male/female restrooms (two stalls and one sink in female; one urinal, one stall and one sink in male), and each ADA compliant with space for a changing table station. A janitor's closet and utility chase closet will be located in between the male and female rooms. All utility (water, sewer, electrical) connections will be the responsibility of the bidding contractor. SCOPE OF WORK- Two Options Option A: Block building with cement siding A list of items that should be included in the construction bid proposal: o Concrete footings and 4" reinforced concrete slab o Concrete block construction with fiber cement siding. o Standing seam metal roof. o 3 Metal door sets for male, female and utility closet access. o Electronic locks with timers for male and female restroom access. Wire should be internal in block. o Female Restroom: Two stalls with floor mounted, ADA compliant toilet; one wall mounted ADA compliant sink, one electric hand dryer. o Male Restroom: One stall with floor mounted, ADA compliant toilet; one wall mounted urinal; one ADA compliant sink, one electric hand dryer. o Exhaust fans per code o Floor drains in men's, ladies', and access room. o LED Lighting to meet code o Exterior safety lighting o All utility connections-electrical, one inch water line with Greenwood CPW, install sewer line connecting with Greenwood Metro. o Exterior drinking water fountain with "bottle filler" o Interior hose bib attachment in Janitor closet o ADA concrete walk from building connecting to asphalt path Optional add on: 1. Mini-split HVAC systems for each rest room, heater in access room 2. 3 Heater: men's restroom, ladies' restroom, access room 3. Price difference to add full brick veneer instead of fiber cement siding.
