Within the High Level Forest Area, fire bases are strategically located to provide housing for seasonal staff, as well as providing pre-suppression of resources (helitack, unit, and firetack crews) in a readiness position to respond to initial wildfire starts and support sustained action. To ensure no interruptions to the Provinces wildfire suppression efforts, potable water delivery, and wastewater (sewage) removal are required on an "as needed" basis with no guarantees of work at the following bases: Footner Lake Fire Base - located roughly 10 km north of the Town of High Level 07-08-11-119-W5 Legal Land Description 58 37.284 X 117 09.882 GPS Steen River Fire Base - located roughly 147 km north of High Level 10-27-122-19-W5 Legal Land Description 59 37.643 X 117 10.203 GPS High Level Airtanker Base - located roughly 10 km north of the Town of High Level 07-08-11-119-W5 Legal Land Description 58 36.647 x -117 9.624 GPS
