The City of Salem, Virginia, is requesting sealed bids from qualified and licensed Bidders for the Proposed Bridge Sidewalk Repair of Apperson Drive over Roanoke River, in accordance with our specifications and drawings prepared by Schwartz & Associates, Inc. This project involves repairs to one (1) bridge which includes abutment backwall repair, silicone joint sealer, sidewalk tension assemblies, scab plate, curb block replacement, shotcrete, strut repair, maintenance of traffic, and incidental approach work. No bid will be considered unless it is so guaranteed. Certified check or bank draft shall be made payable to the City of Salem. Cash deposits will not be accepted. The bid guarantee shall insure the execution of the Contract and the furnishing of a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond each in the amount of One Hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. A copy of the bidder's VDOT pre-qualification must be submitted with the bid documents.
