Henrici Water Pump Station and Transmission Improvements Wifia 3-2 (CI 24-004) The Project Includes: Construction of Approximately 7,050 Linear Feet of New 24-inch Ductile Iron Transmission Main Along Beavercreek Road and Henrici Road Construction of Approximately 290 Linear Feet of New 16-inch Ductile Iron Transmission Main From the Proposed Henrici Pump Station to the Existing Henrici Reservoir. Temporary and Permanent Pavement Repairs. Temporary Traffic Control Construction of a New 4.48 Million Gallons Per Day (Mgd) Pump Station at the Existing Henrici Reservoir Site Including Installation of Five New Pumps, Suction and Discharge Ductile Iron Piping, a New Bladder Tank, Chlorination System, Hoist System, Instrumentation and Controls, Electrical, and Generator. Landscaping Connections, Tie-ins, and Sequencing of Work Required to Bring New Assets Into Service With Water System. Perform Additional and Incidental Work as Called for by the Specifications and Plans. This Meeting Will Allow Prospective Bidders to See the Site and Ask Questions Relating to Bidding or Constructing the Work Under This Contract. If Deemed Appropriate by the Engineer, Questions That Cannot Be Addressed by Direct Reference to the Bidding Documents Will Be the Subject of an Addendum Issued to All Plan Holders. A Bidder's Failure to Attend the Pre-bid Meeting Shall Cause Any Bid Submitted by That Bidder to Be Deemed Non-responsive and the Bid Will Be Returned Unopened. The City is Not Responsible if Proposers Fail to Receive Notifications of Changes or Corrections Made by the City and Posted as Stated Above. Each Proposal Must Be Submitted on Forms Prescribed by the City and Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond in an Amount Equal to 10 Percent (10%) of the Total Amount Bid. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond Each in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Amount of Contract. The Successful Bidder Will Also Be Required to Furnish a Statutory Public Works Bond in the Amount of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00). Evidence of Workers' Compensation Insurance Will Be Required Before the Work Shall Commence. The City Will Investigate and Determine the Qualifications of the Apparent Low Bidder Prior to Awarding the Contract. The City Reserves the Right to Reject Any Bid Not in Compliance With All Prescribed Public Bidding Procedures and Requirements, and May Reject All Bids if It is in the Public Interest to Do So. Prevailing Wage Publications Applicable to This Contract Are in Section V. The City and Owner's Contractors and Subcontractors at All Tiers Are Required to Comply With Certain Federal Requirements as a Condition of Wifia Funding.
