The City of Crestview Hills ("City") is seeking proposals for periodic street sweeping services for the April - November 2024 Season. The City is approximately 1.9 square mile in size with a population of 3,250. The City maintains approximately 13.79 roadway miles of public streets, city & state. Sweeping services are broken down into two types of sweeps: Arterial & Citywide. Arterial Sweeps are conducted once a month during the months of April, June, July, September, & October and includes the following streets within the City Limits: Turkeyfoot Road, Dixie Highway & Thomas More Parkway. Sweeping for arterial sweeps shall include the all the curb lanes, including the islands curb lanes. Citywide sweeps are conducted once a month during the months of May, August & November and include all public streets within the City Limits including the arterial streets listed above. Please see (Attachment B) for list and maps of the current streets. Sweeping locations include curbed and uncurbed areas. Vehicles and equipment used in street sweeping services must be kept wellmaintained with proper safety equipment, in good operating condition with all filters & brooms in good condition, and in good appearance. Vehicles and equipment used in accordance with sweeping activities must meet all applicable local, state, and federal air quality laws, rules, and regulations. The type of street sweeping equipment used by the Vender shall be a top dump regenerative air vacuum sweeper. This equipment shall be insured as specified herein and capable of cleaning the streets of paper, glass, dirt, silt, sand, rocks, litter and miscellaneous debris. The City will make the final determination as to whether the work has been satisfactorily completed and may order the Vender to re-sweep areas not swept or cleaned in a satisfactory manner. In the event the results of a sweeping are deemed unsatisfactory at the City's sole determination, the Vender shall sweep or clean the unsatisfactory area again at no cost to the City, within twenty-four (24) hours of the City's request without interruption to the regular street sweeping schedule. The Vender shall furnish all water required for performance of this work. The City of Crestview Hills reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all Proposals. This contract is considered a Lump Sum Contract. Crestview Hills reserves the Right to negotiate with apparent successful Vender/respondent as necessary to meet the needs of the City.
