Bids will be taken for maintenance of seven (7) roadside parks. The bid award will be subject to funding by MDOT. Five (5) parks are in Wexford County and two (2) are within 8 miles of Wexford County. The work consists of furnishing all labor, and specified equipment for janitorial cleaning of buildings, ground litter pickup, trash removal & disposal on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and/or as directed by the Wexford County Road Commission. Parks will consist of #1 Coleman, #2 Hamill, #3 Lookout, #4 Woodward Lake, #5 Lake Mitchell and #6 Betty Walker, #7 Charles Brown. The Wexford County Road Commission, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 200d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, disability, race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any defect in the bids and make awards in any manner deemed in the best interest of the Wexford County Road Commission.
