We appreciate your submittal and interest in assisting the City of Newnan with this endeavor. Replacing a failed 60 " CMP culvert under Evans Drive. The project is located at the intersection of Evans Drive and Hwy 27/16 in west Newnan. Contractor access to the site shall be from Hwy 27/16 only. Construction traffic is not allowed along Evans Drive in front of Evans Middle School. A. Demolition Demolition will consist of saw cutting the existing asphalt, removing a portion of existing 30" HDPE culvert, removing both the upstream and downstream storm drainage structures, cutting out existing sections of curb & gutter, and hauling everything away. B. New Construction The existing 60" CMP culvert has collapsed disrupting flow across Evans Drive and creating a large sinkhole that will need to be filled. This project will consist of filling the old culvert with a flowable fill, installing a new culvert just above it, replacing portions of an existing 30" culvert, and replacing both the upstream and downstream structures.
