Work will consist of the Alum Tank Replacement at the Hiwassee Utilities Commission water treatment plant. Work includes the removal and disposal of the existing alum sulfate tank, the furnishing and installation of a new 6,500-gallon double wall, high-density cross-linked polyethylene alum sulfate bulk storage tank and its accessories, piping work to connect the new tank to the existing feed pump, anchorage to an existing concrete foundation, and all work as outlined in this specification and drawings. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
