Kaplan Housing Modernization - 2022 CFP, Site LA 26-2B The work consists of modernization of 2 existing living units (1 duplex bldg) at the Kaplan Housing Authority. Work includes, but is not limited to demolition of interior wall & ceiling surfaces, some wall reconfiguration to convert these units to handicap accessible living spaces, some new interior and exterior concrete work, replacement of windows & window frames, exterior & interior doors and frames, VCT flooring, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, wiring and panels, replacement of wall & ceiling insulation, replacement of GWB @ walls and ceilings, installation of new central HVAC system, including all ductwork & accessories, replace kitchen cabinets, provide laundry room cabinets, repaint interior of unit, complete. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, with the following information plainly marked on the outside of the envelope: o Bid for KAPLAN HOUSING MODERNIZATION 2022 CFP, SITE LA 26-2B for KAPLAN HOUSING AUTHORITY o Name of Contractor, and o License Number of Contractor. Document Notes : The full amount of deposit for 1 set will be refunded to each prime Bidder who submits a bona fide bid upon return of such set in good condition within 10 days after date of opening bids. All other deposits for complete sets will be refunded with deductions of 50% approximating reproduction and mailing costs upon return of same in good condition within 10 days after date of opening bids. Otherwise, the entire deposit may be retained by the Architect. Partial sets of documents will not be issued. o This is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development assisted project. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. Successful Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, creed, color, sex, age, or national origin. o Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump-sum basis to a Bidder licensed under the provisions of the Contractors Licensing Law of the State of Louisiana. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the time and date of opening. Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of base bid. Both performance and payment bonds will be required in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract Price. o The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
