The Work Shall Consist of the Reconstruction of Several Streets in the City of Kaplan. Approximate Quantities Shall Include 11,800Square Yards of Milling, 250Tons of Pavement Patching, 1,460Tonsof Superpave Asphaltic Concrete (Modified), 4,430Linear Feet of Scarifying, Pulverizing, Shaping, and Compacting Roadbed, 11,090Square Yards of Pulverizing and Processing Soil Cement Base,2,500Barrels of Portland Cement, and Associated Work. As evidence of good faith of the bidder, a Bid Guarantee equivalent to 5% of the base bid plus any additive alternates, consisting of a firm commitment, such as a bid bond, certified check, or cashiers check, shall accompany each bid as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of his bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required and within the time specified. The successful Contractor will be required to execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract as more fully defined in the Bidding Documents.
