The Rural Municipality of Woodlands intends to develop a largely unused greenspace between the hamlet of Woodlands and Provincial Highway #6 into an accessible, educational space which can be used by local students, seniors, and community members. Features will include an edible garden, a meditation and healing garden, historical components such as a tallgrass prairie and railbed garden, a central courtyard, and outdoor recreation equipment. Trees will be planted throughout in honour of past and present community leaders, with a self-guided digital tour option. TIMLEINE: Plans are conceptual. Solicitation of public feedback anticipated in the coming months. Further update may be confirmed early 2026.
