Description of Work. The proposed construction consists of a 1,000,000-gallon elevated water storage tank, altitude valve, site and structure piping, site work, electrical work, and other miscellaneous items of work. Information for Bidders. Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be funded in part by a loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA). Neither the State of Illinois nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this invitation for bids or any resulting contract. Contractor(s) shall pay prevailing wages at rates not less than those under Davis Bacon Wage Act Provisions as determined by U.S. Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Westmont for five percent 5% of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions.
