The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is soliciting qualifications from mechanical engineering firms to provide design services for constructing a mechanical yard at the south-east corner of Lombardi Recreation Center (LRC). The project will be broken into multiple phases and this RFQ is for Phase 1 only. Phase 1 scope includes design of the mechanical yard, replacing/relocating the three Heating Ventilation Units (HV-1, HV-2, HV-3) and conceptual, layout design of other yard equipment and utilities for future phases. The University conducted a feasibility study in 2021 and is available as part of this RFQ. The selected engineering firm will be responsible for the project design, concept documents, schematic design, design development, and construction documents for bidding and construction. All construction administration services to be included. This project will utilize the design, bid, build construction delivery method. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The construction cost is estimated to be in the $900K to $1.2M range.
