**As of May 14, 2024, the project was awarded to Balandra Demolition - Wildomar, CA. in the amount of $17,500.00.** GENERAL INFORMATION: Project Description: The City of Victorville is requesting bids for the demolition of the Schmidt Park Restrooms and Picnic Area, located at 13576 Mustang Street, Victorville, CA 92394. The scope of work shall include but is not limited to the demolition of an approximately 2,400 square foot restroom/picnic structure at Schmidt Park. The contractor is required to verify all measurements. The Contractor is responsible for reviewing the attached Asbestos and Lead Report and if applicable, abating any asbestos and/or lead in accordance with Cal/OSHA requirements and safety guidelines associated with the work, prior to demolition. The Contractor is also responsible to procure and post any required permits and associated fees prior to the commencement of work including but not limited to City of Victorville and Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District (MDAQMD). Bid should include labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supplementary services necessary to complete the work. Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitations, scope of work, etc., must request it in writing to the Purchasing Section by no later than APRIL 11, 2024 @ 12:00 noon PST, in order to allow a reply to reach all prospective bidders before the submission of their bids. The Contractor shall begin work by the date specified in the City's Notice to Proceed informing him that the contract has been awarded and shall diligently prosecute the work so that all the work shall be completed before the expiration of 30 CALENDAR DAYS, including the specified starting date. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: The Contractor shall pay the City of Victorville the sum of TWO HUNDRED FIFTY AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($250.00) per calendar day for each and every calendar day delay in finishing the work in excess of THIRTY (30) WORKING DAYS as specified above as Liquidated Damages. The City withholds liquidated damages before the accrual date if the anticipated liquidated damages may exceed the value of the remaining work.
