Summary/Background Information: Bid A of this request includes the hauling of dirt from the City of Portland's Richland Park stockpile to the Portland Municipal Airport. Bid B of the contract is to strip the topsoil from the existing site at the Portland Municipal Airport and fill and compact the site with the dirt hauled from the City of Portland's Richland Park stockpile in 12" lifts. The final grading shall be permanently stabilized. All work shall have a 24-month warranty period. The winning bidder must have a State of Tennessee commercial license and will be responsible for obtaining all necessary grading permits and have all necessary inspections. All permit fees will be waived by the City of Portland. The City of Portland hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of age, race, color, religion, national origin, sex, or disability in consideration for an award.
