As of May 2, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Work includes demolition and replacement of the EPDM roof system at the Inclined Plane Visitor's Center. Notice is given that the project for which construction bids are being solicited hereby is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Federal Davis-Bacon Wage Act, as amended. Successful bidders will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations and complete all work within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check made payable to Cambria County Transit Authority in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. In the event the Contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, a time extension may be granted by mutual agreement between the Owner and the selected Bidders All bidders will be required to certify that they are not on the Comptroller General's list of ineligible contractors. Bidders are also advised that the Authority has established goals for the participation of minority business enterprises in the work to be performed. Contractors are encouraged to use minority business enterprises as subcontractors whenever feasible. All applicable Federal Requirements will apply. Cambria County Transit Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept or reject any part of any bid. The successful Bidders will be required to furnish satisfactory insurance certificates and Performance and Payment Bonds.
