Scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: Break room with kitchenette for sink, coffee, microwave, counter space, and cabinet storage. o Flexible space for morning/afternoon route meetings, driver updates, and training as required. Two ADA gender-specific restrooms with two fixtures per gender. Two offices with visual connection to break/training area. Clock-in area directly adjacent to the new main entrance. Expanded storage mezzanine for small parts, data closet and mechanical systems. Update maintenance floor drain system to meet current code requirements. Bids will be received, and projects constructed under a single prime contract. Bids must be on a lump sum basis. Work to commence on or about May 8, 2024, and be substantially complete on or before August 1, 2024. Final Acceptance of the Project shall be on or before August 8, 2024. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid submitted. Bid Security must be in the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders and submitted in aseparate sealed envelope clearly labeled Bid Security. Bid Security must be in one of the following forms: Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Certified Share Draft or an approved Bond Form. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. The Board of Directors of the Bondurant - Farrar Community School District reserves the right to conduct such investigations as it deems necessary to assist in the evaluation of any apparent low bidder to establish the qualifications, experience, number of employees, and responsibility of the bidder to do the work. The District may require submission of AIA Document A305, Contractor Qualification Statement, at its discretion to the apparent low bidder.
