This project includes the furnishing of all equipment, material, and labor to complete the work as shown in the plans and as described by these contract documents. The pay items for this project are as set out in the bid proposal sheet. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check, for not less than 10 percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid payable to the Clerk/Treasurer, City of Whiting as security for execution of the contract under the terms embodied in the Contract Documents The bidder awarded the contract will be required to furnish a separate Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract price before commencing work. The Performance Bond and the Payment Bond shall remain in effect throughout the entire construction period The City of Whiting may make any investigation deemed necessary to determine the ability of a bidder to perform the work. Bidders shall furnish any information and data requested by the City of Whiting to facilitate such investigations. The City of Whiting reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, a bidder fails to satisfy the City of Whiting as to the bidder's qualification to carry out the contract obligations The Contract Documents may be examined without charge at the Office of the City Clerk/Treasurer located at Whiting City Hall, 1443 119 th Street, Whiting, Indiana.
