Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Whiting, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The base bid is for turfing the infield only. However, the bid also includes alternates for full field turf, bull pen turf and inlaid logo behind home plate. A certified check/bank draft drawn on a solvent bank or a bid bond drawn on a solvent bank, payable without condition to the City of Whiting in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid shall be submitted with each proposal, as a guarantee that, if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into, and the performance of the contract is properly secured. A performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the bid, with sureties to be approved by the Board for the faithful performance of the contract, must be furnished by the successful bidder. All bids or bids shall contain an offer to furnish bond upon acceptance of such bid or proposal . Proposals must be submitted in accordance with the terms of the Request for Proposals. No Proposer may withdraw a submittal within 60 days after the actual date of the RFP opening. The City of Whiting reserves the right to reject any and all proposals; to waive any irregularities in the submittal process and to make an award in the best interest of the City.
