The Town of Milton is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the demolition of buildings located at 214-216 US Route 7 (includes a restaurant with an upstairs apartment and three sheds). The Town of Milton recently purchased approximately four and one-half acres of land to reconfigure the intersection of Route 7, Middle Road and Railroad Street. There is a building on the property that was once a restaurant with an upstairs apartment. There are three outbuildings and three mobile homes also located on the property. The mobile homes will be auctioned and removed by the perspective buyers. The Town wishes to have the building and outbuildings demolished and debris removed by a qualified contractor. The contractor is responsible for developing an abatement plan and the remediation of all hazardous materials to an approved facility. The buildings are vacant, and the Town wishes to have them demolished no later than July 1, 2024. The Town of Milton will file the municipal demolition permit for the project, and the Town of Milton will provide the asbestos survey for the buildings to the selected demolition contractor.
